Kinect, soon available on smartphone and tablet

PrimeSense, the company that designed the Kinect system for Microsoft, adapting its motion detection technology to integrate smartphones and tablets.

The Kinect system for Microsoft Xbox has transformed the gaming interactivity. 3D sensors and the camera system can play through gestures or voice commands, not just with a joystick. but PrimeSense, the game is only the first field of application. As the company explains on his blog: "The 3D sensors can provide new features and improve the use of almost all electronic devices."

PrimeSense has developed the sensor Capri 1.25 embedding most of the functionality of Kinect while nine times smaller - small enough to actually be contained in a smartphone or tablet.

The company is ready to offer the first batch of these sensors to manufacturers revolutionary smartphones before the end of the year.
