Acer announced a smartphone can capture video in 4K resolution
Acer has formalized the release of its new phablet, the Acer Liquid S2. Scheduled for late October, this new 6-inch smartphone is the first to be able to capture video in 4K resolution, ie in Very High Definition.

Acer has confirmed the rumors circulating about his new phablet model, to be presented in more detail in the Berlin area. And immediately he seeks to differentiate itself from its competitors by emphasizing the ability of the Acer Liquid S2 to shoot in 4k resolution. Acer can now boast of being the only one on the market to offer such high quality but it is likely that competition followed suit before the end of the year.
This new model will be equipped with a camera 13 million pixels and a six-inch HD resolution up to 1920 x 1080px full screen. It is therefore not possible to read its stored in 4K quality to the laptop screen and sub screen will be necessary to take advantage of the Very High Definition videos.
We can blame Acer for wanting to here the cart before the horse: 4K film is good, being able to watch what is filmed on its own smartphone afterwards it's still better. It may however be argued that it would be impractical in any way to watch high definition videos so on small screen. But we must not forget that the first televisions compatible with such resolutions have just come in more affordable price ranges, and the lack of high-definition content clearly beginning to be felt. 4K tries to establish itself as standard in all areas of imaging therefore, and Acer is trying to take advantage of the opportunity.
Acer Liquid S2 work with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and have 16 GB of storage space for 2GB of Ram. This laptop is also compatible ship 4G Android 4.2.2 as operating system. It will include a function to use as Internet router for other devices that do not have 4G connectivity. Its dimensions are 166 x 86 x 8.99 mm and will be available in red or black.
