VLC back on iOS devices

After more than two years of absence, Videolan VLC is back on the App Store for the delight of lovers of HD video encapsulated mkv.

After a first highly anticipated arrival, the audio player / VLC video has been removed from the App Store as a matter of license not compatible with Apple charter. Completely rewritten to exploit the capabilities of chips A5 and A6, the  version 2.0 of VLC is now up on the iOS platform. These improvements will benefit especially iPhone 4S owners and 5, and iPad 3 and 4 while the other terminals can also be used. Among the new features, there sync with files stored in DropBox.
