Apple will build a third solar panels farm

Covering an area of ​​over 40 hectares, the new solar farm is expected to cost nearly $ 55 million for Apple. The total electrical power supplied through the farm would be about 17.5 megawatts.

The firm at the apple firmly believes in solar energy. To meet the explosion in demand for energy centers of calculation, Apple has indeed engaged since 2012 in building farms solar panels. Located close to the city of Claremont, North Carolina, this third installation will be an area of ​​over 40 hectares, which is equivalent to the first solar farm area, located a few kilometers away at Conover.

The area of ​​this third farm solar panels will be nearly 40 hectares, which is identical to the first firm but less than the second, which was nearly 70 hectares. Electric power farm announced for the latter is 17.5 megawatts. Given that the two other Apple's farms produce 40 megawatts of electric power, the total power for the three Apple centers should close 60 megawatts.
 
To achieve this third farm solar panels, Apple's investment would amount 55 million dollars, with 75 jobs for its construction. The price of land, acquired by Apple in the city of Claremont, is valued at $ 1.4 million, knowing that apple has to make two parcels to the city for them to use as wooded areas and fields particular games, for a combined amount of $ 96,000.
