McAfee provides updates for its security solutions

Updates of Antivirus, Internet Security and McAfee Total Protection are equipped with anti-malware and tools that improve engine performance.

McAfee proceeded to upgrade its range of antivirus solutions for the general public and its security tools for PC. Available for purchase as a download from today. AntiVirus Plus 2014 costs  35 $ for a year of protection. For their part, Internet Security and Total Protection 2014 are marketed to retail for  56 and 90 $ for up to three computers. The publisher has also updated its security software multi-platform LiveSafe announced last spring. All these updates provide basic protections. They use AM Core, the McAfee scanning engine that detects viruses, malware, Trojans and other harmful malware. According to the publisher, AM has Core Performance browsing that can not delay other activities on the PC. The Vulnerability Scanner solution that finds patches or updates of installed programs, is also part of the new products.

Parental controls

Comes with three products, Shredder completely removes files and makes them unrecoverable. To prevent unwanted intrusions, these solutions have a two-way firewall. One called My Home Network Viewer checks for parasites on a connection and another called SiteAdvisor indicates whether a site that is about to be visited is safe, suspect, or downright dangerous. Internet Security and Total Protection add parental controls including a usage report, a follow-up activity, and blocking sites. Both solutions also filter spam. Total Protection provides file encryption and security of the wireless network. It protects passwords and data even when using a public network.
