Microsoft alert on a fault in Internet Explorer 8

Internet Explorer 8 is affected by a critical security fault, which is based on an erroneous management of objects in memory. Microsoft warns users.

Microsoft has published on its website a warning to alert users of Internet Explorer 8 security flaw: this vulnerability listed CVE-2013-1347, based on a memory management error, could allow an attacker to access a remote control jack of the victim via a web page infected.

The vulnerability lies in the management of memory may be corrupted. A web page allows an individual trapped in bad intentions to execute code remotely if the victim clicks on a link.

The Redmond company invites users to upgrade to newer versions (Internet Explorer 9 or 10), which is unfortunately not possible for those who have remained loyal to Windows XP. Microsoft still working to ensure an update to remedy this flaw but gives no time provision. It reminds IE users activate a firewall and do not forget to update their software, and use anti-virus and anti-spyware software. She also warned to stay cautious on some web pages and remain vigilant to not click on any link or e-mail.
